The 5th International Conference on Marine Mammal Protected Areas has been hosted for the first time in the Mediterranean, and specifically in Greece (Messinia, April 8 -12, 2019).
Among the key speeches “Striving to conserve the seas and their life in a changing world: a dialogue across generations” appeared to be as a real debate between generations of marine conservation defenders. Amelia Alberini, a young woman from WWF Greece and Giuseppe Notarbartolo di Sciara (Tethys Research Institute), one of the older founders of our marine mammal work.
